Balloons and Sock Monkeys l San Antonio Baby Photographer, San Antonio Family Photographer

I spent time with Dylan a couple of weeks ago to celebrate his 1st birthday. Boy, has he grown since I saw him last! Check out his 3-month session and look what few months will do! It is amazing how fast they grow and develop (and a little sad, too – why does it have to happen so darn fast?). He is one of the most laid back, easy going, smiley, happy, sweet one-year old’s I have ever met. This family is such a joy to work with and be around. Watching Dylan’s interaction with his mom and dad, you know he is loved.

We played with balloons and he brought his favorite friend to take a few pictures with him. I love this age…watching them explore and get excited over simple things is so much fun.

The Everyday:: Little Hands & Fingers l San Antonio Child Photographer

Little hands and fingers have me thinking today…Maddy’s hands have that sweet, chubby toddler quality that will soon be gone…she is growing so fast (too fast). I just want to hit the pause button sometimes, but unfortunately she didn’t come with one. I’ve asked her if she could stop getting so big, so fast…she just says (matter-of-factly) “No, Mama” and shakes her head. So, I have to document as much as I can so I don’t forget anything because this is the stuff worth remembering…these are the things I want to re-live and experience again when I miss them. If only it worked that way…

When those sweet, chubby toddler hands grow and change, I’ll miss…

  • Little hands that cup my face…
  • Little hands that love to clap…
  • Little fingers raised to say “shh”…
  • Little hands that pat me on the back when she hugs me…
  • Little hands constantly exploring…
  • Little fingers that pick each sprinkle off of her ice cream one by one…
  • Little hands that rest on my shoulder when she is tired…
  • Little hands that put her shoes on the wrong feet…
  • Little hands that hold on to me for balance as she puts on her pants…
  • Little fingers that touch my phone and computer screen leaving smudge marks…
  • Little fingers pointing at something new and exciting…
  • Little hands that are sticky…
  • Little fingers with imaginary owie’s needing kisses to make them all better…
  • Little fingers that play in the dirt…
  • Little hands that touch the wall as she comes down the stairs…
  • Little fingers that push the buttons on the “hi” so she can pretend to call dada…
  • Little hands that grab her Baby Night Night purse as we leave to go bye-bye…
  • Little hands that hold mine as we walk…
  • Little hands that wave good-bye when I leave the house…
  • Little hands that leave food on the back of my clothes…
  • Little hands that put blush on her cheeks when she plays with my make-up…
  • Little hands not quite sure of how to be gentle yet…
  • Little fingers that she puts near her mouth when she is about to cry…
  • Little hands that brush her hair out of her face…
  • Little hands that love to color with “cwayons”…
  • Little hands that bring me “fowers”…
  • Little fingers that touch her eyes, nose, and belly button when she shows me how smart she is…
  • Little hands that play with my hair…
  • Little hands that hold Baby Night Night…
  • Little hands that cover her eyes when we play peek-a-boo…
  • Little hands that put on her pink, glittery sun glasses when we go outside…
  • Little fingers used to make bubbles…
  • Little hands that pat me on the leg when she wants my attention…
  • Little hands raised in the air asking for hugs…
  • Little hands used to blow kisses…

Fiesta l San Antonio Child Photographer, San Antonio Family Photographer

F-I-E-S-T-A!!!

Joshua made a float for the Fiesta parade at school.  He was VERY EXCITED to go to school today…what kid wouldn’t be…an afternoon of candy and party time was on the agenda! We waited till the last minute to make Joshua’s float (of course), but I think it turned out great and we had fun making it. Grandma gave us the idea to use tissue paper…:)

We hadn’t even started and the silly’s were already coming out…can you say “ham”?

Here we go…
